The Prophet (sall Allahu 'alyhi wasallam) said:
•►“Indeed A man’s status will be raised in Paradise and he will ask, ‘How is this for me?’ He will be told, ‘By your child’s seeking forgiveness for you.' " [Ref: sahih al jami 1617]
•►“When a man dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity; beneficial knowledge; and a righteous child who will pray for him.” [Narrated by Muslim, 1631]
•► Rabbighfir lii wali-waalidayya walilmum-iniina yauma yaquumul hisaab, Rabbirhamhumaa kamaa rabbayaani shag-hiiraa . . .
•► O Lord, forgive me, my parents and Muslims in the Hereafter. O Lord, show mercy on them as they have nourished me when I was young. . . .
